Hi, friend
I'm Tressa Bidmore, mom of two very opinionated six-year-olds.
I'm a mom of twins, a boy and a girl. We spent years in Northern Utah and now live just outside Las Vegas, Nevada. Together we've traveled all over the West: Hawaii, Utah, Idaho, California, and Nevada, by plane, by cruise ship, by boat, and by a lot of miles in the car.
Somewhere in there I learned that no amount of planning stops a trip from surprising you. I've packed for months-long trips and managed with one bag, calmed a meltdown in row 24, and figured out a cruise cabin that had to hold two strollers and one very tired mom. This blog is where I write down what worked, what flopped, and the little tricks that make two kids on the road feel manageable.
Before I was a full-time mom I taught for more than 20 years, and I also worked as a health coach. Both of those jobs taught me the same thing: the plan matters less than how you respond when the plan falls apart. So everything here is written to be honest and useful, not perfect.
On a personal note, family and faith come first for us. I try to choose trips, and write about them, in a way that lines up with the values we hold at home. If something doesn't fit those, I'd rather skip it than force it.
Whether your twins are still in car seats or already begging for their own phones, I hope you find something here that helps you pack a little lighter and worry a little less.
